Not to sure where this would go...BUt need some help.

Well today i was just plain pissed off at teh world so i figured id work on my car cause i didnt feel like driving to the gym. Well as most know im having some sreious wiring issuses with my car. So i traced one of the burnt wires from the ECU and fround it it was the Main ground wire for like 5 sensors ( o2,egt,knock and some other ones) Well after the 2nd ECU went rosted tosted i decided to let a pro handle it, might cost more but still cheeper then 300$ a wack with ecus. anyways no one will touch the car for less then 2k (just labor) so im back to doing it myself. But the guy told me it could be a main engine or body ground grounding out and runing bakc to the ECU. Sounds about right (kinda well not to sure i dont do wires) Anyways heres the deal.
One i have no tail lights even when the car was running the tail lights went bye bye on my way to Atl when i got my tune and second the ecu started smoking when i turned on my windshield wipers. Now heres what ive found under my car
o2 sensor harness some how rested on the downpipe and ended up with this

Where my Hids were wired in and the side marker wire was extended this is what i found

And this is the only ground wire i could think of that might be a problem but it looks fine to me.

Any help with this would be great. As im tring to get it fixed so i can have a car before the baby gets here. Im in a big bind with this and its really starting to suck.
Thanks for any help and or advise in advanced.

Sorry but this isn't going to get fixed here. Something very bad (or a combination of bad things) has happened with your wiring, probably due to faulty modifications, and only a competent tech equipped with the wiring manuals and the proper test equipment is going to be able to sort it all out. Obviously that 02 harness is shot but if you're burning up ECUs and ground wires you have much more serious problems. It is possible that one of the main harnesses may be damaged.
Has the car been in an accident, what other work has been done on it?
Since you admittedly "don't do wires" there is no way this will be a DIY repair for you. I'd suggest you bite the bullet and get it to a good shop as soon as possible, before the next failure sets the car on fire.

The only modifications that have been done are of course the JDM HIds been on for along time like over 6 months i think. and basic bolt ons with AP and a Protune. IT just blows my mind how it wet from running like a dream to where its at now. As for a shop that i would trust doing this..lol...thats the start to a good joke after the storm down here all the good ones are gone. But thanks for the reply i think i was asking mainly to see if someone has had this happen to them before even though i doubt it has.

I've been on the forums for several years now and seen a lot of reported problems, so I can tell you with some authority that this is not common. Of course every situation is going to be somewhat different, but the failures you are describing are far from typical.
That's too bad about the shops, but you are going to have to find someone who really knows what they are doing to get it straightened out. Try asking in the local forums, try NASIOC as well since those forums are much more active.
