Question How to remove SUBARU letters off of trunk?

I'm wanting to remove the chrome subaru letters off of the back of my trunk. What's the easiest and cleanest way to get that done? I've heard all kinds of things ranging from dental floss to hair dryers...i just want the most common and easiest way to get them off w/o wrecking the paint. Thanks...

I just did mine last week, all i did was use dental floss and then 3M Wax/adhesive remover. then re-wax.

Just use a blow dryer to warm up the glue then use something like floss/ credit card etc to take it off.

The crucial part lies with taking off each letter very carefully, so that you dont scratch your paint, so take your time to do it right and you'll be fine.

It helps to do it when your car's been under the hot sun for a while. Add blowdrier to make the process easier. I used fishing line to remove the badges. Goo-gone helps w/the residue.

The process takes a bit of patience, but you'll be fine.

yea its really easy

1.) heat the letters with a blow dryer
2.) dental floss/fishing line to break the seal off the back of the letters and they come off
3.) goo-gone takes away the left over residue
4.) give your car a nice wash and wax...i drove around for about a month with streaks on my trunk from the letters, once i waxed it again it was all better.

Your thread has been moved from General forum to a more appropriate forum.

The Search feature using keywords 'remove letters' in the Impreza Interior, Exterior, & Lighting forum yields many existing threads, as this is a fairly popular mod for Impreza owners.

shouldn't take too long for the color to blend in. If you live in AZ, the hair dryer is not needed. I watched my friend debadge his car without in phoenix. It hit 112 that day.
