Removing letters from trunk lid (WRX)

Lately, I have seen 3 WRX Imprezas running around town "naked" -- missing the SUBARU letters which normally grace the center of the rear trunk lid. I like this look -- can anyone tell me how these letters are removed without wrecking the paint, and the best method for doing this?

I'd like to get rid of the dealer badge stuck on my trunk, too!

You can use a hairdryer to loosen the adhesive and use fishing line to "shave" the letters off. It just takes patience. I know some people who use hot water to de-letter their trunks as well.

for the emblems you can use fishing line or dental floss, heat w/ a hair dryer, use something like goo gone to get rid of the residue, wash and wax

Edit: oops...MOG_22 beat me to it

Thanks very much, clearly I wasn't the only one thinking about this...

Wonder if my dealer will be pissed if I show up for service with the dealer badge gone

they did not pay you to advertise so screw them, go in next time you are about to by a car, and tell them you want money off for advertising for them see what they say. they love when you play games with them like that.

The dealer doesn't care, as long as the vin plate says its from their dealership, its a subaru from their dealership.

When i went in for my 30k the guy said that he likes my debadged hatch, but maybe my windshield banner says SUBARU in big yellow letters to compensate for lack of advertisement in the back?
