its held on by double sided tape and a really small flathead screwdriver should be good to pry it out.

Moved thread to Impreza Interior Exterior forum from General.
I've heard of some folks using a combination of a screwdriver, being careful so as not to scratch the badge edge, and fishing line that can be used as in a sort of sawing motion to cut through the double-sided tape with no damage to the emblem.

though already answered... I'l post anyway...
I removed mine w/o damaging it (I repainted it to blue) simply by using dental floss and getting it behind the badge, I then heated it w/ a hairdryer and pulled. I tried the screwdriver, but didn't want to break it (which doesn't matter since you are replacing it anyways). The dental floss worked well because i could thread a few pices behind it and then use them to not only pull outward, but slice between the tape and badge.
Hopefully you'v already gotten it off, if not, good luck!
