HIDs with stock '02 headlights

How well will an HID kit work with the stock 2002 wrx headlights? If anyone has done this or knows about it...please let me know.

thanks.

It's not the best idea because the reflectors aren't designed for HIDs. You will get lots of bright light, but with scatter and glare to oncoming traffic. This is why HID retrofit kits have been illegal to sell in the US since '03.
It is possible to retrofit OEM HID projector assemblies into the factory light housings, although it isn't cheap if you pay to have it done.
You can also replace your headlights with projector type halogen lights such as Morettes, EDM STi lights, or UK300/Prodrives. Even with halogens you'll get much better lighting than with the factory lights. HID retrofits in those projectors are also possible, with better results than retrofitting the stock lights, although they still won't perform as well as OEM HIDs.
