HID conversion kits

I have been looking into HID conversion kits to see if their worth the investment.
I would like to see if I could get some feedback from others that have done this install.
I found this web site from one of the forms that I go to hid-lights.com.
is this a good deal??? I am looking into the X5 9000K HID Conversion Kits Super-Violet-White, does this kit have every thing that I need to do the install???

Any feed back will be much appreciated

HID conversions , no matter what anyone who has them says to justify their purchase, are not a good way to spend your cash. They will never look how you imagine them too, the light will be all over the place unless you swap out your headlight to projectors and now you're talking even more money. You'll either loose your high beams by installing a kit or settle for some hi-lo kit that will take a dump on you sooner than later.
The other option is higher wattage bulbs with that "HID LOOK" that will fizzle your wiring harness.
Am I just spewing these things with no knowledge, you ask???
I'll show you the receipts of how much I threw away on this crap! And now I'm back to weak halogens, but with NO problems.
Want HID's? Buy a car that has them( this is what I vowed to myself, but I just can't get rid of my little bug eyed bucket of fun), trust me, I am definitely trying to be a helpfull friend on this one!

Like cohlineman said, a HID upgrade kit will typically not give the same type of lighting as you would find on a car that came w/ HID's. The projectors or reflectors (depending on which type of headlight you have) you have on your car were designed to be used with halogen bulbs. You will notice alot of glare when you install HID bulbs in a reflector housing and some times not alot of light output when you intall them in a projector housing. If you are going to get a retrofit kit then atleast make sure to choose the proper kelvin range. the 9000k system you are considering getting will put out very little light. stock systems that come on BMW'w and Audi's are all around 4100k to 4300k. The light the put on the ground is pure white. The reason they might look purple or blue sometimes is becasue of the projector that they use. A prisim effect is created when you view the light from an angle. The highest i would recomend is 5000k if you want to have any usable light.
When i get home i'll post some pics of my head lights. I have EDM STi projectors on my 2003 WRX. The EDM's have the right beam pattern ( ___/ ___/ ) so oncoming traffic isn't blinded by the head lights.

you wont have any problems with 6000k bulbs. its just that you get more usable light with 4100 to 4300k bulbs.

here is a pic of the cut off on my EDM STi projectors. i had to turn down the exposure a bit on the camera so you can can see the cutoff a little better. These are 5000K hid's.

yeah, but not as bad as if i had the stock reflectors. That glare is coming off of the chrome bezel right in front of the projector lens.
