Hey guys, i have an 02 wrx and have a carbon fiber hood. Well, i wan to install hood pins as the hood as of right now vibrates like it could fly up. The problem is where i would like to install the pins (locking tipe/the ones with a key) is curved. I know it should be secured into the radiator support/headlight support. does anyone have any experience with this on a wrx? also, from what i understand put painters tape/masking tape directly over the area your are going to drill and go fast speed with only a little bit of pressure to prevent splitting and cracking of the carbon fibre. can anyone help me out here?

 

I used the spots where the adjustable hood bumpers are. Just screw the rubber bumpers out and use the washers to hold the bolt in place. You might have to flatten the holes that the rubbers were in as they will be offset so the rubbers would screw in correctly.
