Heat shield on bottom of hood

Heat shield on bottom of hood
Have a 03 wrx and haven't done too many mods. I have headers up pipe and turbo back. I plan on doing heat wraps on the up pipe and down pipe. Wondering if it is bad to take off the held Sheild on the hood. Mine is just hold and looks bad with broken clips that have fallen off
