good speakers?
does anyone know of some relatively inexpensive speakers that would fit an 06 wrx? i dont know too much about audio and what not so I thought id check and see what you guys think. Im not trying to spend a whole ton of money, and dont need the very best, but something that would make my 2 hours of driving a day easier. thanks!!

Polk Audio Component speakers for front doors.
Forget about stock 4" speakers in rear doors.
This is you want to do:

Not sure if you have any kind of Pick and Pull type junkyards around your area, but sometimes if you look hard enough, there are very good quality speakers. Just know the sizes for your car and go tear cars apart looking for them. I got a pair of Alpine Type-R's and Polks doing that. Goodluck!

When I had an 07 2.5i, I had purchased the polk audio db series for both front and rears. At the time I was looking, these were very popular speakers. I believe you can get them for $50 at frys. Also, you should also compliment the speakers with a better deck if you're still running stock. At least for my 2013, the deck made all the difference in the world.
Oh yeah... If you're inexperienced with installing speakers on a subie, I'd highly recommend getting someone on the forum or a professional to do it. My front had crossovers, the tweeters couldn't sit properly without brackets, and the front needed spacers.
I'm not sure how important it is, but I read that you needed to break in your speakers for it to be at its full potential. This is done but listening to your music at lower volumes, then increasing it over time. It probably has something to do with not damaging the cone, but I'm no expert.
