Can someone suggest some good computer speakers?

I've used my 5.1 altec landsing to death, literally... I play lots of music (rather loud since I basically live alone) and play FPS type games, so gun fire, etc... My sub only works half the time, left main speaking sounds like ache...

So I come to my BAIC computer and or sound geeks. I don't need anything on the audiophile level, but would like something that bumps nicely.

(PS, mine lasted since 1999! It was the sheeeet back then)

Klipsch are nice. They usually have some decent refurb deals through their site. I have some 5.1 Creatives that are very loud and great for games - but they were only @ $70 so they're not audiophile quality. I'd say Klipsch or Creative as my top 2 votes for PC speakers.

For my Mac I just got some KRK Rokit 5 powered near-field monitors that sound great for music, but weren't cheap ($300).

My friends have the Logitech products. They sound pretty good. I personally have a Creative 2.1 system. Two speakers and a sub. It sounds decent for what it is. I had an Altec Lansing 5.1 system prior to that. One of the speakers went out and the sub stopped working after a 4-5 years. You can find refurb JBL systems on eBay too. I heard good things about those.
