i just bought some flat key hood pins for my carbon fiber hood. the hood pin has a lock that is surrounded by a flat circular piece metal that is 2 inch diameter.
the problem is that the hood has curves and the hood pin surface is flat


how should i fix this?


should i cut the metal?

should i bend the metal?


is there a flat hood pin that is made for the wrx hood?

 

so nobody has heard of these hood pins?

ok so let me restate the question.

where is the best place for hood pins?

the hood has curves in the front for the flat base would not fit... taking out the stoppers is a good place but the curve on the hood makes it hard to latch on.

the metal disk comes attached to the key. it anchors on top of the hood. man i gota figure a way to bent it right.... any suggestions?

also i cannot find a step by step on installing a hoodpin in a carbon fiber hood. i found the Oem hood but no carbon fiber...
