Question Defi Link Control Install

Does anyone know weather or not the Defi control link modual is wired into the ECU or the or Ignition Wires? I'm tring to install my Defi gauges, but not quite sure where I'm suppose to wire the control link into.

If you are connecting a Defi Tachometer you need to tap into the ECU wire. Otherwise you don't need either.

So where do I tap to get the power? Do I need to tap the wires for the rest of the gauges or just plug them into the control box itself? See the directions I have are in Japanees! So I don't understand exactly what need to go to what.

Oh I misunderstood your original question...

I got my power from the fuse panel, I stuck a wire in the fuse socket next to the fuze. I got the illumination power and the constant +12 from the clock harness and grounded it on a screw. For Defi's power plug: red=constant +12; orange=switched +12; white=dash lighting; black=ground.

Note: the circuit you choose for switched +12 should not be on when you turn the key to ACC. If it is, the warning lights will scream at you because the sensors will think your car is dead if you are just listening to the radio with the car off.

You only need to power the control unit. The gauges all run off of that.

Here's the english manual: http://www.defi-shop.com/product/meter/meter_inst.html
