a/f gauge idea!!!

I wanna to know if i install aftermarket upipe with two o2 sensors, one with oem sensor for the ecu, and the other one with cheap o2 sensor (not the 5v one for ex. any o2 sensor from any car). And hook it to a/f gauge only \. Is that going to work? Is the a/f gauge going to read right??

What's in the uppipe is the EGT sensor not the 02. The front 02/AF sensor is located in the exhaust manifold.
Even if you did install a separate 1V narrowband sensor it's not going to give very useful readings, since it's only accurate within a very limited A/F range. The only way to have a useful A/F indication is with a dedicated wideband sensor and a gauge that can use it. This isn't cheap but you get what you pay for.

Go to tuneyourengine.com I just bought their wide band O2 sensor with 45 min. of data logging for $349.00 It is inexpensive compared to most of the wide band O2's, don't waste your $$ on a narrow band O2 gauge, like Mulder said, & you can't safely tune with it.
