Brighter HID lights on STi

hi has anyone put brighter light bulbs on the STi without having any problems? If you have can you tell me what kind and what brand along with a picture? thanks

The lights that come equipped on the STi are probably the brightest "BULBS" you will find. They use OEM spec bulb Kelvin which is 4100K-4300K The higher you go in color temp. the more light you loose. If you are asking if people put more "BLUE, PURPLE" lights... yes, I'm sure it's been done. Unless you change your ballast to one of those super ballast that use 55W instead of 35W, the stock will probably be the brightest.

ohhh thanks i know nothing about headlights as you can see, but i would like to know if there are any bluish/purplish colored lights that has just as good range as the ones on it right now.

I swapped out the stock HID's for some Phillips 6000K's that I got from Dan over at Godspeed. No pics (sorry) but both me and my SO thought they were a HUGE improvement. While the color is a tad more blue, the bulbs really seem brighter overall (bulb quality issue maybe?) They do seem more "white" than the stockers as well, which I thought had an orangish hue to them. FWIW.
