Back problems

Hey, does anyone have back pains from the bucket seats of a WRX? Today, I developed some really terrible back pains, like I can't bend over for anything without hurting like hell. I'm not ruling other possibilities, but was just wondering if that was the cause.

You might want to invest in one of these to add lumbar support to your seat.

maybe put your seat up instead of trying to get your lean on. i have the 06 bucket seats. back hurt like hell until i put the recline up a couple notches. sometimes its the little shings that make it better

I have no problems from the seats, but then again maybe it's cuz I sit up bolt straight like the dork that I am

I doubt it's the seat, unless you drive in the rex for living. Back problem usually occurs after chronic abuse to your back - meaing small increment at a time. Think about times when you frequently have to lean over (no not that kind), carry objects (more than 20lbs), how you sit in a chair, and so on. Use proper body mechanics. Wearing those lumbar support for a short period time may help. You don't want to wear them for days though since that would decrease abdominal and back muscles.

I used to have back problems. I just tried getting into a better habit of sitting up straight and also dropped 30 lbs since I figured that was part of the cause besides bad posture.

my old Tr seats work better for me then my STi seats..
I'm going to sell my STi seats for something else. I get allot of back pain driving in them. But I get home and take a perkyset and its all good.

Let me know what seat your looking at buying. I was going to look at the carbon NRG seat.

i also found sitting up board straight like a old asian lady driving does help my back.. But not like the oxyco** ah never mind. my flexaril is kicking in.. Time for a beer,.,,,,

I know the original seats in my 02 caused me endless suffering and thousands in chiropractic treatments for the year or so before I swapped them out for some Recaros.

I had heard later model seats are better, but I know that the Recaros solved my problem straight up.

And while I didn't get paid for it, I used to drive my car probably more than those who make a living behind the wheel, back in the days of $2 premium, 1500 mile weekends were commonplace for me.
