I'm thinking about getting a set, but am concerned about the install. Are they pretty easy? So far, I've installed TBE, rotors, pads, lines, done coolant flush, do my own oil changes, etc. How is the install compared to these things?

Can they be taken apart so that I can paint the housings blue?

yes they can be painted but IMHO the red is more of a suby trade mark
