Has anyone done a retro fit with the EDM bugeye yet?
I am planning to do it this summer,
and would like to have some advices from people who have done it.
Which projectors would you guys suggest that wil lfit right into the bracket of the EDM?
I think the TSX will be too large, maybe the e46?
Thanks

you can try to buy themfrom the buy/sell section on http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/
does anyone know how hard it is to retro fit TSX projectors into the EDM?
i think the TSX has a wider base at the lens part than the A-6 projectors that badfish used.
so, trimming might be required? or custom made bracket is required?

I just did mine, however i didn't document anything. The tsx projectors fit rather well, however you will need to do some filing (or in other words trimming). Custom brackets aren't necessary. The easiest way to approach this project is reuse as much of the existing bracket as possible. Doing so ensures that you can keep the stock adjustors functionality. Overall this is a simple project if you can handle using a file and maybe some jbweld. If you need help checkout the forums over at hidplanet.com or email me at willz_23@hotmail.com and i will try to help you out as much as possible.

I actually just put some Philips 4300K HID bulbs in my EDM housing after giving up on doing a retro.
I followed instruction, and parked my car 30 ft away from a wall, and have adjusted the "step" to be 3 inches below my headlights.
I think it's aimed weird, coz there are like blind spots in the middle of the light output, where i get very little light.
Should I re-adjust my headlights until i don't get blind spots?
or this is just fine?

Does anyone know where to tap into the headlight harness? Is it in the engine bay or under the steering column by the headlight switch?
EDIT: reading owns me. I re-read the thread and saw the post stating that the tap in point in under the steering column.

Bringing this back from the dead to ask a question.
What's the best way to fabricate the adjustment screw mount that's lost by removing the stock lens bracket?
Cut the stock one off the now un-used bracket and jbweld or bolt it into place?
Make a new one entirely?

I used S2K projectors. At first I was skeptical since they're not bi-xenon, but their output is so good my apprehension was ill-founded. I found a thread on scoobymods that keeps the low beam on with the hi's, but does not does not fire the low's with the "flash to pass".
My first drive with the retrofit was a suprise, the amount of usable light is rediculous. I did notice that the cutoff can be a bit distracting, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
