anyway to make the 99 GT Ltd hoodscoop functional?

Yeahm I removed mine. You have to take off that thermo piece and than it's just a couple of screws. I have a CAI, so i'm drawing cold air already. I removed it to lower engine temp and to give the scoop a purpose. been through snow/rain storms/car washes and no prob. hope this helps

No pics, I'll get one this weekend. It's custom made, but very easy. Basically, I removed everything except the stock airbox. I don't remember, but there's a company (ganzflow, PRM?) that makes one pretty much identical to mine for 50 bucks.

Try a search or someone feel free to jump in.
