another rattle
05 sti, the round defrost vent to the left of the steering wheel and above the round ac vent rattles, how do i get to that thing so i can put something under it to dampen out the noise?
looks like the whole dash has to come off, if so am i going to likely add more rattles in the removal reinstall.
i had a 03 wrx before this and the sti is not nearly as bad as that other clunker, but this one rattle gets to me. i can literally place my hand on it and the thing stops.
ive had it in the dealer and they SAID they fixed it but no, and now that ive got swaybars on it im sure they wont look at it under warranty.

remove your instrument cluster. the rattle is usually above the big crossbar that goes from a pillar to a pillar for front support. i read about it somewhere. and if it stops when you push down on the dash thats the one.
