I have a 2004 wrx and I just recently installed a Halo HID kit. This kit is a plug and play kit. The kit works fine, however when the lights are not turned on my HIDs flicker on and off. I think it’s because of the day time running lights that this year is equipped with. I don’t know if I should take it to the shop to let them relay the wires or if there is something that I can do to prevent this flickering from happening. i would appreciate any advice you could give me. thanks

 

You have to disable the DRLs by unplugging the DRL control module that is located inside the car next to the glovebox. There are plenty of threads with pics showing how to do this, check here and NASIOC as well as Scoobymods.
Do this very soon or your ballasts and bulbs will be damaged not to mention the wiring in your car.

 

Do you guys know if the STi headlights HID (04/05) are a direct swap for a WRX (04/05)? Thanks.
