2004 WRX Ambient Temperature Gauge Missing

I was very bummed to discover that the Sedan version of the 2004 WRX was missing the ambient temperature gauge (the one the tells you the temperature outside the car). The Wagon and STi models both have them included in the left side dashboard gauge under the fuel and engine temperature gauges in the same ring.
Anyone know why this gauge was excluded from the Sedan?? Having just recently traded in a '98 Audi A4 Quattro for the Subaru, I've grown accustomed to that gauge especially in my Mid-Atlantic Winter.
Also, does anyone know where I can find an aftermarket gauge? If it exists, this will prob be the first mod that I make to my new WRX.
Thanks in advance,
Greg

Thanks, Peaty
I checked out the mirror and it looks to like something that would work, but it just doesn't make any sense to have paid for the OEM mirror and have to get rid of it for a temp gauge.
As I said in my original post, both the wagon and STi models have a ambient temp gauge included on the main cluster of gauges in the dash. Any idea why it was excluded on the sedan? Also, any way that you know to upgrade the dash gauge instead of the mirror. Just doesn't make any sense why they would exclude that feature from the sedan.
I seem to be stuck in a loop.
Anyway, thanks much for your response.

I know my Forester XT has it in the dash, Our Outback VDC has it part of the digital Climate control. I'm not sure how easy it will be to retrofit to the dash compared to installing it with an autodimming mirrror. Seems like a silly thing to leave out since it's so handy. But heck my XT did not come with a glove box light, go figure. That was easy to retrofit though. (rotten bean counters

No it does not just a compass, that's what I was saying you can get one though. I'm not sure where it is on the STi but the outside temp reading is the an LCD just below the odo
