04 wrx wanting stock looking hids on sti's

04 wrx wanting stock looking hids on sti's

i was wondering how do i get the same exact HIDs as the stock sti's? i want HIDs and i dont want the HIDs to bright and want the HIDs to look like they came stock on my 04... can i buy these HIDs from teh factory? is there any company that makes HIDs that look exactly like the stock sti's? how many k are they?

The way to get them is to buy a set of STi lights, either from a dealer or used from a junkyard or through the classifieds here or on NASIOC.

i dont know squat about HIDs... what do i need? ballast projecter hid bulbs... what else?

The factory light assemblies include the ballasts and I believe the bulbs as well. They are mechanically the same as your existing lights so they bolt right in, just some wiring would be required to make them operational.

Nobody said they're cheap. But this is the only proper way to put HIDs on your car, other than having a projector retrofit done on your stock lights (also not cheap, and you have to be without your lights for a week or two).
Watch the classifieds because used ones do turn up occasionally, and check with junkyards.
