Disable DRL?

Anybody know how to disable the daytime running lights (DRL)? I've never been a fan of it. I'll turn my lights on when I want them on.

Has anyone done this yet?

DRLs just make it easier for a cop to see how fast your going during the day.

Well it is easy take off the front bumper so remove the 3 clips on each sides of the bumper 4 on the grill under the hood and 4 under the bumper. Once removed on the left side of your car you will see a brown harness located connected by your secondary horn disconnect the brown/grey harness and it the DRL should be off. Cheers

Can't you just pull out the module that's located behind the glove box?

That module no longer exists on the newer models.

is it true that after doing to DRL mod your seatbelt does not tighten when you get in an accident.

And I am not talking about the seatbelt lock but the actual tightening.

The 03 has a black box module and it sits behind the glove box on the very right sitting behind two relays. I unplugged and removed the box that is held on with a screw. Saves a few grams of weight.

The box has a yellow sticker on top of it and it reads DRL which stands for Daytime Running Lights.

This was necessary for the HID's that were installed.
