^ On the subject of living expenses here in Hawaii, too many times have I seen.. a Mercedes with "Nexen" tires.. A BMW with "Riken" tires.. etc. etc.
Lol. They be shipping them tires over here by the boatload for the Mercedes GLK350 driver who cant "afford" them Michelins. Times are hard , no?
I'm still disappointed at Subaru for putting those horrible RE92's on the WRX though. In that exclusive scenario I do believe an off-brand, cheaper tire could perform better. Last longer? I dunno.

the only problem with these extreme performance tires is that they really dont last long... at all. 10kmiles on my direzza star specs and they're at the wear bar.
my rs3's only have seen about 10 miles, so i cant comment on the wear for those, but they are grippy as heck. will probably do the evo school in the miata with them. who needs 275 hoosiers for evo school.

I'm at about 9k miles on my RS3's. They are far from wear bars and still look and handle great. I even have an afternoon of fun runs on them an plan to do EVO school with them in January. They are absolutely a great tire. Good bang for your buck for sure.

This is all very good feedback, and I am learning from all the sites and small discussion between users. I think I may have narrowed my choice!
Thanks a lot again guys

Best bang for the buck IMO. Bought a set of these back in 2011 and will be buying another set soon haha. Ive pushed them hard on occasions and they've had no complaints.
