On our 2.0L motors, headers don't make as much of an improvement/gain as they do in a 2.5L. Not to mention that they typically will worsen your spool unless you get a tune. I'm not saying don't get them (Haha, I have a GrimmSpeed PnPnC manifold and Version 2 X-pipe on my wagon), but they're not exactly a simple bolt on power gainer. And yup, an equal length header will usually yield better response, but will change the tone of your exhaust. I personally think it sounds friggin cool, but still love my rumble.
