well since i got some insight on the two variances. i would say i unequal headers since they are he most common and would have less affects on the spark plugs.

get some Engine management first.

ie: Cobb accessport

then do a turboback, up pipe and headers.. ull like that power

and just to let u know, equal length headers will make more power

yeah i bought the car with cobb access port, cobb intake, downpipe, performance exhaust, and i am up for the equal length headers...

spark plugs? thats the first time I heard that one. can you explain?

also UL will maintain the boxer rumble and the EL will not.

got some online research and came across some info on equal pipes are indeed more powerful but tend to shorten the life of spark plug wires and not the plugs...

you do know that the wrx/sti motors do not have spark plug wires but individual coil packs. can you link me to this site where you found the UL's shorten the spark plug life? it just seems odd that UL's shorten spark plug life. i really have never heard that one.
