hot damn, this is good **** lol. screw "Lost" this is my new fav show.
all i can say NewWRXer is that HIIC is a pretty tight group and is full of people who will do just about anything they can to help you out. i've seen some of these guys spend almost a whole day at their own home helping someone they didnt even know with installs on their cars. I dont know if you just had a bad day at work or somethin, but calm down. also remember that not everyone on here is as "experienced" as you and a lot of discussions like this help other people who dont know everything. oh and it can save them and you alot of hassle from buying something that wont work for them (we dont like screwing people just to get rid of stuff either).
and these are forums, which is generally where people come for discussions and explanations......

Ok Ok.....I apologize for jumping to conclusions about getting bashed on. I just felt that the message was hostile. Please accept my apology. I don't want to be a ''drama queen'' as one of you put it.
Dispite my negative conotation, I hope my rambeling rant helped inform other members of the ins-and-outs involved in this type of swap.
I have been out of town this week, will be back tonight. I'll try to get back to questions and PM's then.
Oh yea, and thanks for the spelling corrections
Intertainment provided at my expence.....

NewWRXer, I wasn't really talking about you....more like 04sleeper and Infek, I'm cool with both of these guys, but I can understand why people get them the wrong way, because the impression they leave on the forum, but trust me...overall they COOL!!!! always willing to help...

Hey guys, I want your opinions on what (you think) this engine is worth. Here is what it comes with:
Complete 04 USDM STI 2.5L engine, red intake manifold, stock STI turbo, down pipe, intercooler. About 30K miles.
Also comes with 04 STI ECU, but I don’t have the engine harness (but you can use the WRX harness, that’s what I did. I can show you how). I have the in-dash harness from the ECU to the engine bay, but it is cut and does not look complete. (…again, I recommend you use your harness)
Best part is the engine is still in the car so buyer can test it out….
Everyone chime in on what they think this engine is worth with the stuff it comes with.
Give me reasons you think the price you state is accurate, paste links of other engines going for the price you stated if can.
Interested to hear your opinions
Thanks, --NewWRXer

I have seen them go for as low as 2,000 on up to 5,000.....it's all in what someone is willing to pay.

NewWRXer, how much of the dash harness do you have?
how much you get your JDM engine for? you can use that for a base. I know that they go as stated above by 4080wrx. This only usually incldues the engine and engine harness for the STI

Dash harness looks cut, I don't know how much I have. Part that plugs into the ECU is there, in dash fuse box, and a mess of other stuff.
$2,000 to $5,000? I have been looking, haven't seen anything under 5. I saw a short block for $4K.
Plus shipping is about a $1,000 to Hawaii, right?
