Nothing against the other shops but right now they're the only ones I'd let work on my STI.

About the alarm.....its not uncommon for Clifford alarms w/options to go for $900+ (there's a reason Viper is cheaper), but it sucks they charged him more.

What options did you go with (I'm guessing pre-entry, paging, etc)? Was this a solid quote or was it a rough quote due to certain options?

I've been dealing with Hank a lot lately so if you'd like I can talk to him and try and help you work things out. Just give me some info
-i talk to hank already and he just keeps saying that they didi not do it, i even talk to the guy which is my good friend if he had dented my car & he said that he did not but he does not know if hank did...(i trust all my good friends & even people that i just meet like that guys that come out too the thursday night meetings) but, you never know!! even your good friend can fu@# you over! just to cover his ***..

Security and Sound is pretty good. I had a couple of positive experiences with them. They were cool, prices were fair, and they did good work. I had one negative experience with them though, which will forever turn me away from them. I've steered others away from them as well.
Right now, I'd recommend Installtech. They did a Clifford 750 alarm install, WITH the turbotimer function on my girlfriend's car for $400. That INCLUDES installation. That was 200 bucks less than what Island Sound quoted me. They did a quick, quality install, they know their stuff, and were very polite.
-i had alot of stuff installed other than my clifford alarm, so i guess it was worth the price.. but, i was not worth the dents & trouble that i have to go threw too fix the dents

Thumbs up Special T Tinting

hey man,

I did my alarm and tint at Special-T-Tinting, they are on Dillingham, near the H&R block (after costco)
They are good and professional. Ask for Kyle or Dustin.

Note:
They do tint, alarm, and sound.

WOW....your boy works at island sound and he was the one who installed your alarm ? What does he have to say about the dent ? Other than that he did not do it ? Did you notice the dents upon reciept of the vehicle or later ? Most if not all sounds shops do a pre vehicle inspection before performing any work to look for dents, scratches, etc. Is it possible that you got the dents after ? If not that sucks man and I'm sorry to hear about your car.

he said that he tap my window to test the shock sensor... notice that dent after i pick up my car about 2 days later...island sound did not perform a pre vehicle inspection too check for dents or scratches, etc. & it is not possible that is got dents anywhere else due to the fact that my vehicle was at home from that day i got my car back from the island sound & i could not have got the dent at my house because where my car is parked there is a wall & the dent is on the side of the wall not on the side that is open where everyone walks by...

Special-T-Tint

My friend Keith has been doing alarm, tint & sounds for me on my last 6 cars over the past 7 years. This last time he disappointed me. His attitude is that he has the Suby dealers in his back pocket...that's where his money is at. Sometimes it hurts to have "friends" in the business. After this incident, I feel that all installers will have a bad day...just don't go to them on their bad day. Sorry about your STI.

Sorry to hear about your STi. Progressive Auto in Aiea has done my last three vehicles including my current STi. I have had no problems with them whatsoever.

I'm sorry man on your experiences. I purchased my speakers, amp, alarm, tint and did the full custom install at Special T Tinting & Mobile down off of Dilingham. The owner is awesome and the installers are cool, Efrin and Adam. Talk with Efrin and say Noren from I-club sent you. They will hook u up. They are good ppl and stand behind their products and install. I got my Clifford RS for $700. My entire purchase from them was $3200 and I'm pleased 110%. If we meet sometime, I'll show you my setup. I drive Blue STi w/ Gold SSR Polish lip.
