I will probably do better asking questions over a round of Coronas and Mochas once I get there.
No you don't want to drill into the up-pipe, we actually drill into the exhaust manifold. However, if you contact Vishnu they may be able to put an EGT bung in for you, its just no one has asked yet.

Ah ok. Making a bit more sense to me, I can tell Im still a complete moron when it comes to this. I will probably need to bring some paper and crayons and have someone draw me a picture when I get there. =)

Thanks as usual.

From Vishnutuning.com, is this what I might want to look into:

Vishnu 304 Flex Up-Pipe..........$279*
Like our legendary 321 Up-Pipe, our new Flex Up-pipe offers hefty ½-inch cut flanges and bungs for the factory EGT probe as well as an extra bung for an aftermarket wide or narrow-band 02 sensor. With a high quality flex-joint to relieve much of the tension endured by rigid up-pipe, this 304 Stainless constructed piece is well suited for hard-driven street cars that see constant heat cycling.

Vishnu 304 Flex Up-Pipe Kit..........$309*
This complete package consists of our 304 Stainless Steel Flex Up-Pipe, OE upper and lower up-pipe gaskets, nuts, bolts and studs. This is everything you will need for a perfect fit and trouble-free installation.

Both from vishnu tuning are good. You can't go wrong with either.

May I also suggest for a little less money a few alternatives...

PDE, Perrin(looks really nice), and TurboXS.

The TurboXS is cast and will retain more heat in the pipe thus hopefully helping the turbo to spool quicker. There is also a debate on cast being more reliable in the long run over stainless steel. But there is no concrete data on that.

Great, appreciate the links. I am clueless with price. Heck you guys could make a fortune buying these things and selling them to be for $800 a pop. I wouldnt know any better. =)

From what I have read I like the TurboXS products, but thats only from reading. I will look into that one as well. Heck in the end Im sure whatever I end up with will work. Every product has pros and cons. Guess I need to concentrate on just getting my stateside *** there to Hawaii first, huh. =)

Maybe if I win the lottery I will run a WRX down to TurboXS and have then Stage 4 it before I come out there. Of course the fun seems to be doing the installs yourself and making the car faster yourself.
