Talking UTEC/parts coming soon need some1 that can tune, Please

I'm getting all my parts in about a week and a half........TurboXS Utec, UP,DP, Cat Back,etc...and need some suggestions on who can tune????

I checked previous threads, and found that due to lack of an AWD dyno that precise tuning may not be possible. Guys/girls any suggestions please........thanks ahead of time...04 STi...=)

Talking

I've got a bunch of stuff to put on: Crucial Racing UP (this can wait), Invidia V.2 DP, Invidia N1 Cat Back Exhaust, Kartboy SS, Kartboy SS Bushings, Perrin Rear Endlinks, Turbo XS UTEC, Whiteline Steering Rack Bushings, Cusco Heat Shield, Change out STi Wing rear trunk to WRX wing (although if anyone has wingless they want to trade I'm down) <<Silver>>

If deals go through: Tein SS Coilovers, Cusco F & R Sway Bars, Cusco Strut Mounts, Defi Gauges.......phewww

anyways I'm getting two sets of the CEL mechanical fix if anyone needs one, it comes with (2) per pack. I'll get the second piece sometime this week from Checkers

Hopefully I get all this stuff by Monday, except the UTEC probably will not be here till the end of the week

Do you guys suggest changing to colder plugs, grounding kit or what other suggestions would you guys recommend?

One more thing do yo guys think it's worth going for the bigger turbo, fuel rails, injectors, etc. later, reason asking because we don't have an AWD dyno to get full potential???

good luck with all of that. are you planning on installing everything yourself, or paying a shop to do it? if your doing it yourself, the installs will take up some time so make sure you plan accordingly. if this is your 1st time working on a suby, the installs will take a long time. be prepared to allow some time to run to the store (somehow we always end up doing this).

tuning the utec will take a lot of patience. invest in a laptop w/ a serial port, you'll need it. if you don't know how to tune, you may want to pay an i-clubber or ryan @ vakamon to tune it for you.

also, plan out your goals for the car. different setups will work better for drag, auto-x, superlap, etc.

hope this helps.

Thanks for the encouragement....installation will be not too big of a problem, my friend's brother in law is a mechanic at Mercedes, so him and bunch of other guys will be doing the wrenching. As for the tuning I'll probably need some help with that.

I just dropped by work and my exhaust and dp has arrived....pretty stoked...anyways...check you guys at one of the meets if I ever get there....L8rz...

You

don't need a laptop with a serial port. Just get a laptop with a USB port and get a serial to USB cord. They cost all of around $20. Check out wrxhackers for maps for the UTEC.
