Wow, sorry to hear about the break in.......

I've been worried about thieves around my area, too. There has been a lot of weird stuff going on around my townhouse complex...a lot of people's cars have been getting broken into, my car cover was lifted up quite a few times <have it strapped down pretty good, where a person needs lift it by hand to remove it> and a few of my neighbors and I have witnessed on numerous occassions people scoping out cars.....maybe the crackheads need money for Xmas presents

anyways guys that live Waikele/Waipio area <and everywhere else> watch your stuff, I posted on forums and others that live around my area have noticed stuff like this going on, too...sucks that they're targeting Subies now

If things are getting scoped around where you live I would seriously look into getting some cameras and setting them up where they have a good view of the action. At least figure out who's doing the scoping and maybe pay them a little late nite visit.

I wish I could set something up, but because I live in a townhouse complex we get assigned stalls. The stall assigned to me is clear across the other side...

I hope so too Ty, she needs a new steering column, its kinda crooked, the turn signal and window washer stalks are canted to the right...steers fine though, just that the wheel is lower than I would like it. Total amount of damages was a little over $1200, just waiting for the parts so it can get repaired. I don't think it'll come in time though...maybe someone could let me drive their STU approved Scooby for the next autocross?

This is a great idea Dan,..I want to do this,..what did you use and did you squeeze fit it in or glue? I unplugged the fuse from the box as I went to Ala Mo's last night,..but its humbug as you cant unlock your doors or even my trunk,...a plastic piece to block the switch is a great idea,..

Did they tap your auto unlock switch to open the door? If they did, need to figure a way to prevent them from getting to the switch. Jon idea makes is a good preventive with the rain guards. I covered my unlock switch with a hard plastic as a preventive (along with a couple more).

Hi Kevin,
Easy install,
You'll need a 1"X 1" L-bracket to cover the entire lock. Can be plastic or metal. Home Depot, Lowes, or Ace will have them. The side that slips on the side of the power locks is about 3/4", can go a little deeper if you want. You can control the thickness of the side with electrical tape if need be. Don't make it to tight when sliding the bracket on the side or your locks won't work. The good thing is its conveniently removeable (slides in and out) and you can leave it in your glove compartment when not using.

Sorry Diego, don't mean to hijack your thread.

Aloha,
Dan

if your car is locked and you push the unlock button the car unlocks? I know the alarm will go off but this is even through AM alarm?

Car goes in this coming Monday, hopefully its done before the weekend so I can race. Dan, no worries, your idea is a great one. Originally I thought they unlocked the door lock, but I guess it is easier to press the unlock button on the door.
