if your gonna get the turbo get it there. shipping to hawaii sucks! also remember that your coming to a small island with a top speed limit of 60mph and no 1/4 mile track. we do have auto-x events here but they are more suited to the 16 or 18g as the 20g is a top end turbo iirc. vakamon is a great shop and we do have a dyno now so tuning is possible. maybe you wanna plan out some goals you wanna do with the car first. bigger turbos=more gas and gas here=$$$!!

well i was gonna wait til i got there cuz ill be makin more money and im gonna be paying off my wedding for the next few months here anyway. as far as goals im not too sure yet, i want it to handle like a champ and i think ill be somewhat satisfied with around 380whp or so, nothing ridiculous. hmm maybe ill just max out with my stock turbo and get a protune and see how i like it for a while before i get a bigger turbo. whateva, hopefully you guys can help me figure stuff when i finally get there.

Yea, I agree with 91sleeper... Shipping is ridiculously expensive.
Actually, USPS priority is fair priced... but the other guys are expensive and slower for the cheaper rates.
Some companies refuse to ship USPS priority or cheaper rates.
Even if they use FedEx or UPS, they say 2nd day air is minimum (when those two companies offer Ground to Hawaii).
I've probably spent like $4K on shipping parts here alone.
But from what I've seen, Vakamon is a great place to go to. I hear Munky Works (or however you spell it) is good too.
I go to Eurosport a lot and they do a great job also.
