Tried a search but none on exhaust recon

I tried a search, but couldn't come up with any answers. I own a 91 MR2 with everything switched to aftermarket, standalone EMS, T67 turbo, straight through exhaust. The built engine is from a different car. I am military moving to Hawaii. The question is do the recon people put your car on a lift. And my car has an ext. wg with a dump tube (not rerouted to the downpipe) and the exhaust has no cat. Please let me know asap. I am currently stationed in LA and they give jack and **** about inspections. So please let me know before I get a custom exhaust built just so I can be good to go when I get there. My email is ademarco6@yahoo.com Thanks again for all of those that give a serious reply and hope to hang out when I get there. =)

when i took my car to recon, they didn't even look at the exhaust...they didn't even turn the car on....from what i remember the guy telling me...they really don't care about the exhaust...i don't even recall them asking me about my cat ...they pretty much go really hard on the suspension, tint, lighting, allignment and height....sound like you have one hell of a MR2...a little advice though....don't drive around waikiki...

Why should I stay clear of Waikiki? Is that where people designate cars to steal? I plan to buy/rent a house with a garage and maybe a pitbull to sleep in the garage also. =) Hope it works.

waikiki tends to get a lot of the rookie cops due to high population and activity. due to that if your car is illegal don't get surprised if you are handed out multiple citations from young police officers just doing their job and getting their feet wet in law enforcement.
