Tires..

Carpooled with the wife today...noticed a crazy vibration from the front end during the morning drive...thought maybe the tires needed to be balanced. As i drove home...it felt more rotational than a normal tire vibration @ 50/60 mph. I asked her if she felt it while driving over the weekend which i didnt get to drive the car...she said yah it started sat. nite and got worse on sunday... well heres the result.

car has 25K miles. stock potenza RE070 tire pressures 36front 30 rear. Rotated every 5K miles.

anyone else had this problem? if so...then ill probably switch brands..

Thats a impact break. Happens from hitting pot holes or curbs. Happens to low pro tires alot easier, especially if the air pressure is low.

^^^yea, it can happen to any brand... some brands will hold up better than cheaper ones, but it can still happen to even the best of tires. Hawaii's roads are so abusive, im suprised i dont see people reporting tire bubbles as often. glad you found it before the tire blew, thats dangerous stuff.

I normally catch tire separation on usually the cheaper/no name brand tires found purchasing tires. guess i just bumed out on 1. oh well...ill put the bare rim on the tire balancer today and see if theres no runout damage before the new tire goes on...

Aren't you supposed to replace all the tires on a Subaru if the rest are worn...something like that I remember reading.

Someone know?

On any AWD car you should change all 4 tires if 1 goes bad.
