29% technically speaking
below 29 is illegal however most shops have 35% tint film...
when it is applied on automotive glass it reaches a safe "medium" (for some reason it gets darker)
reggies tinting in kaneohe is excellent. however he will not do illegal tint simply because he is a part of the better business bureau. if you want to tint pm me and i'll give you the details.

I have 5% sides and 35% rear, the place I did it at has great customer service, I highly recommend them. If you want to know who did it I can PM you the name of the shop.
Is the legal 29% meant for all windows? I had mine done and I told them to make it the max legal, so they put the 35% that gdogg mentioned. I was hoping that the rear passenger windows could be darker. The only thing dark is the front winshield strip.
I had 20% on my MSP and miss that.

29% is for all windows. The rule here is the darker rear only applies if you don't have a trunk. A wagon have darker rears so people can't see in. A sedan can not.
Also I believe 29% is a true minimum... It's like 35% with some leeway. I got 32% to be safe and it passes. Yeah it's a bit lighter than I wanted, but it's cop friendly.

dammmmn. i got 5% all the way around plus 35% on my front windshield...... its pretty dark.. but i do regret getting them in 5%... sometimes...
i beg your pardon? i talked to a cop that patrols recently and he said its 97 a window.. thats if the cop is a *****. usually they'll just give you one ticket.... the 250 i heard about that a while back.
they also jacked up the price fronm 97 to 250 a window.
