Haven't seen/heard a problem. You'll probably find you don't have to put your foot to the floor as much.

oh crap. i am using my GF's account. b

yeah, i was wondering about the sti specific problem, but according to various threads, it only happens to some stis. hopefully mine wasn't reflashed as it might not get all of the power advertised. must be the 92 octane keeping it okay vs the 91 of cali?. thanks again. b

see last post with link to n***oc forum topic.

I have gotten detonation on 92 octane, but not at autox. You really have to push it hard and the conditions have to be right.
I'm waiting to hear more about the reflash results before I go that route.

thanks tim. exactly what i was wanting to know. hmm. so would a ecu reflash technically classify a sti as a SM vehicle if it is flashed by subaru since they alter stuff? just joking. but hey, if it can go up in class by a reflash by vishnu or cobb, then why can't we move down a class to b stock if it is detuned by subaru to a supposed 270hp? sorry, forgot the post with the dyno stuff.

all in fun. see you there mehlt. b

i know you were joking barry...but seriously, if you moved to b stock, those people would have **** their panties...

nope, no Z06 yet...and no new tires for me...i dont wanna invest any more moola into the car, since i plan on getting rid of it soon...i'll just be running on street tires next auto-x...winning isnt THAT important to me...the other "guys" (i use that term loosely) need to prove themselves, so let them stroke each other's cacks with their "wins"...i know i'm the better driver

After this season I'll probably move into street prepared (which I'm not sure yet), as I plan to do some suspension mods next year.
