ss brake lines and fluid write up

im sure this is posted somewhere but i enjoy my set up so much that i thought id share it with everyone..

im currently running the stoptech slotted front rotors and slotted and cross drilled in the rear.. goodridge stainless steel lines with ate super blue brake fluid..

first time after we installed it, left air in the line somewhere. brakes would be slammed to the floor and only minimal stopage.. i was driving like that from waianae to waipio.. i know, its very stupid but i have no reasonable excuse.. anyways, when we got to eric's house (04 sleeper's bro) justin and i re bled all four corners in the rain..(thanks justin!) brakes were better, but i knew there was more potential to it then that..

a couple days later, rudy and i re-did all four corners again and took our time. we flushed out the old superblue, then flushed out some darker brake fluid that i had purchased so we were able to tell then the old blue was competely out. we must of bled each side at least 12-15 times. but all was worth it..

now i simply tap on the brake and i stop. pedal only goes left then half before stopping. compared to my stock where i would have to press it down 3/4 of the way down..

dont think rotors did much to improve the feel but i give ss lines and some good brake fluid 2 thumbs up..

thanks to shane, his uncle, eric, justin, and rudy tootie fruitie

jeff and I did this chain of mods about 2 years ago, basically a stoptech stage 2 package. VERY good set of mods, as long as you don't do track days, this set-up is perfect. IMHO I think the pads do the most to decrease stoping distance.

Motul is better and has a higher boiling point (dry and wet)...but the advantage is very small and unnoticeable to anyone that doesn't participate in track days (daily drivers will not be able to tell the diff).

I have Hawk HPS Pads, Stoptech lines and Motul Fluid and I also feel a huge difference in braking between the stock setup and my current.

Basically, the brakes are more responsive, stronger and can handle more heat. When you think about how the brakes work (turning kinetic energy into thermal energy) the heat thing is very important.

P.S. I have the amsoil in my rear diff (thanks Jon, you're my main manwhore)...it's great!
