Springs VS Coilovers

Springs VS Coilovers

What's the difference and advantage of either one of these? I know that coilovers are much more expensive than springs. Would it be advisable to just add springs now and then coilovers later?? Thoughts.

This might be a question better posed in the suspension forum... Alex likes to keep his tech and regional stuff separated (which makes sense).
