maybe you wanted to help out, or maybe you wanted to show off that you could be an instructor, i dunno...like joey said, we've seen instances go bad at racing, and our #1 goal is that we want everyone to go home with themselves and their car in one piece...

if something went bad, and there was a crash- how would we explain it to the insurance company that a novice was out instructing another novice??? the rules are there for a reason, and like them or not, they have to be followed...

if you dont wanna help out, fine...it's up to you...

just my $.02 on the matter. i know if i wanted to go race and paid $25, i wouldn't wanna sit out b/c there aren't any instuctors around. i know there are rules and i am not one to break them but i think going with someone who has driven b4 is better than going by yourself. i sure wouldn't wanna wait around all day for an instructor b/c there aren't enough. i hate waiting at all, i'm still waiting for usps to deliver my damn swaybar! i do think that there should have been an instructor there and i'm glad the rules say to go with someone experienced, but is this stuff planned or is it just grab the closest one and play musical chairs? i honestly don't know how it works but sounds to me like nate didn't do anything wrong by trying to help him out. i mean nate must have had an instructor when he started right? so he must know something or they wouldn't let him run by himself(not that that is all that safe anyways ). hell poor nate got shafted on his first superlap cuz nobody told him anything. i just hope that doesn't happen to me the first time i go out cuz if there aren't any instructors to help me, i'll ask nate. again just my $.02. today was fun, too bad i could'nt get in any fun runs, this was a great course. anyways, to clarify nate's helping me out as an instructor, i missed the walking of the course, so i went in BLIND!! There was no one available to help me, so Nate offered. He honestly was just doing me a favor by helping me nothing more. I never intended to have it an issue and i can fully understand the liabilities. We now know who the instructors should be, and so on.... that said it was fun, and once the swaybar goes on V2's car, i expect to see the black beast out there.

if anyone needs an instructor, all you need to do is ask at the trailer...they will try and find someone for you...
