should i sell the legacy?
I told myself i would never sell the legacy but recently i've been contemplating selling her. i want to try and get going with auto-x but seeing me auto-xing the legacy just doesn't match. A heavy platform and a luxurious interior doesn't do it for me. i want to keep her but i can't afford another car, i have 3 allready. so what do u guys think? auto-x the leggy or ditchem and start with a better platform.

the legacy is a great car,..for transportation and occassional Costco/Sam's club runs.
You can autocross anything you drive as you are trying to make yourself a better driver, but if you want to stay competitive in your class that is smaller or easier to drive, then sell it if auto crossing is your priority with this car.
I sold my lgt as I had another cruiser sedan and bought a Z which fit my needs for now,...its a smaller platform that handles way better stock than my lgt modded with sways, CO, and a lot of fun to drive..

i decided to keep the legacy. it just seems so much more practical. it can be sporty when i want it to be and still comfortable for driving around town. i think i'll sell the accord and vigor for a smaller car if i really want to get into auto-x. eh ryan, i heard u entering next season. definately call me up when u guys go!

A legacy would be an okay platform to auto-x, not the best due to weight and size, but moderately competitive and great for practice... I wouldn't go all out with a legacy for auto-x though, by the time you'd get it with a good suspension setup, race tires etc, it would cost a fortune, be relatively uncomfortable, and don't even start to think about rock chips from r comps...
It's kinda extreme to buy a car specifically for auto-x... But, if that's the goal, a miata is probably the cheapest for cost of entry and potential...
1st gen 1.8l miata + decent coilovers, sway bars, braces, 13x8 rotas or 13x7.5 lenso wheels, 215 kumho or 255 hoosiers, is a shoe in for top 10 + it'd probably cost less than 8 grand...

legacy has a shiat load of suspension components. whilteline bumpsteer/anti roll kit, perrin lower control arm bushings, bc coilovers, jdm rear sway bar, whiteline front sway bar, avo rear sway mounts, poly bushings everywhere, perrin rear lateral links. also some power, vf22 turbo. i'll start the season with it and see where i want to go from there.the two cars are 90 honda accord, 93 acura vigor. both are for sale
check the classified section.
Have you tried driving the legacy at auto-x yet? Sounds like you haven't from your posts but I have no idea.
The beauty of auto-x is that you compete more or less against other cars at the same level so if you end up being a better driver it can overcome your car.

If you auto-x your car with all those mods you will want to keep your car.
The flipside of it is if you auto-x a stock STI, you will want to sell your Legacy.
Ironically, if you auto-x'd it first, you probably wouldn't of modified it so heavily and you would appreciate the car more.
My advice: Race it then decide. You may appreciate the car more.

I was gonna say good luck selling it. Because there was literaly zero interest in mine. But then again, mines auto.
I won't explain my reasons for wanting to get rid of the Leg, I'm sure eveyones tired if it already.
But glad for you you made up your mind and decided to keep yours.
