Guys,

I am leaving the island in about 4 weeks and I am thinking about selling my 02 WRX to save on the cost of shipping it to the east coast.

I just don't know if I could sell it in time. Do you think I could really sell it in 3 weeks time?

Stats on it are:
Blaze yellow 02 WRX w/79,000 miles (yes, high miles)
Turbo XS stg 4 w/custom tuned U-tec
G-Games 18 rims with tires that are still pretty good.
couple of paint scraps (thanks parking garages!)

Otherwise it is great shape.

I really am not 100% sure I want to sell it but it is such as hassle to send it back with me when I am pretty sure that in a few months I am going to sell it anyway.

 

jus gotta give it a try. post up for sale in both areas.. here & the east coast. thought about selling minez, too.. but don't know what to get afterwards... w/o having new car payments. whatchu looking to pick up next ?

yea, I was thinking about just putting it out there and seeing what happens.

I don't know that I am really ready to leave yet (had a great time here), but I was offered a job that I would be stupid to turn down. I will be making more than double what I am making here.

I would have to slap myself if I didn't take it.

I just can't decide if it is worth shipping the car or not?

Not sure what I might buy next? I was thinking about an STi... which would mean I would be sinking a lot of cash into it. Possibly a truck as well (so I could drive something other than the STi in the winter)

who custom tuned your utec ?

 

Car was customed tuned by Phil Grabow of Element Tuning. It was tuned before I moved here, but was tuned with the knowledge that I was moving to Hawaii.

Yea, the set-up on the mainland produced a 12.8. Here in Hawaii I got one run in and was told to come back with a helmet (ran a 13.6 @ 95mph, I left off before crossing the line because I didn't see the line... what can I say, it was dark)

I never made it back to the track after that but yes, I really think someone could pull off a 12 second pass here in Hawaii

 

The only way you will know if you can sell it is to try. Every day you waste, is a day that you could have the car sold. Try the buy and sell and the news paper
