So wahts the difference between just the regular oil like mobile 1 and or castrol with the rotella. Does it have better chemical in it? I read some discription and mostly talks about motorcycle application.

Its just been proven to work really well with our engines just like mobile 1 has shown to not work well.

Rotella is a really robust oil with about twice the amount of minerals than most of the other oils on the market. People have had used oil tests done at 7,000 miles (of use), and the oil was as good as other oils at 3,000 miles (of use) or better. This can vary with driving style, I have no issues changine my oil at 5,000-6,000 intervals with minimal aggressive acceleration (merging onto highways only).

The regular Mobile 1 is aimed to increase gas mileage. The high mileage Mobile 1 is said to be much better for turbo engines, but its still not as robust as Rotella.

Would this be a good type of oil for my 4.0 xrunner or is it only proven to be beneficial for turbo motors?

It's good oil period. The main benefit for the turbo motors is that it's designed for high compression diesels. Similar to a WRX motor running high boost.

It'd be fine for your 4.0, but so would pretty much any decent oil.
