possibly moving real soon and was reading but wanted a difinitive answer as to whether jdm headlights (bugeye) will pass recon? they actually have the dot approved stamp on them which i read elsewhere will pass recon...can anyone who has passed with them on validate this? thanks!

 

you will pass as long as your headlights measure 24 inches from the ground

 

i read 22? is it 24 now?

 

i think 22 to the center or 24 to the top

 

actually you dont need recon for cosmetics just your suspention

 

My headlights failed because I had blacked out the ambers & I was told to remove my "smoked" license plate covers in order to pass as well

Their main concern seemed to be suspension but they definitely took note of my cosmetic alterations.

 

Actually, you're supposed to get recon for anything you do to the car that alters it from stock as far as I understand it.

The lights are all based on height from ground even if they're OEM when you go in for Recon.

 

if you have the dot stamp on the lens...your good to go...
