reading the boost gauge

just to clarify how to read the boost gauge because at tracks first gear it goes to 1.2 bar then drops to 1.0 then i have to shift already and second gear goes to 1.0 then drops to .8 but third and forth stays at .8 bar!! so what am i boosting at? i have a manual boost controller!

Kind of low for 4th. You should be reaching highest boost in 4th, not 1st.

1bar is 14.5 psi, so your hitting 17.4 in 1st gear? Are you sure about that?

MBC are not a good idea because of the same problems that you are having. How high are you holding your RPM's to? I say reattatch the stock solenoid and see what the car does.
