its your car...do whatever you want to it...but dont complain if you cant get a safety check sticker or ask for hookups...

your right...theres nothing safety in a front license plate...its just the law...most play by it...some dont.....pay to play... kinda like getting caught with dark tint...dont forget thats a $287 price tag per window depending how hard a popo wants to hit yah...

most cops use it to laser your speed. best reflective piece on the front of a car by far.

Oh I like having a front license plate. I was just wondering if a new law has pass if it was optional since I been seeing newer cars without.

I work at a shop and I assist the inspectors in doing their safety checks.
It is true that if a vehicle in Hawaii does't have a plate securely mounted on the front and back then they will not pass safety.
As far as the new vehicles not having the mounting points on the bumper, we give the customers two options:
Screw the plate right into your bumper or secure a bracket to the bumper and put the plate on that.
Either way, gotta have two plates to pass safety.

Jumping in with my pet peeve on this subject...I have had a plate on since getting pulled over in Waiks in 01.

Why do people that don't have plates have their car manufacture logo plate...too many BMW and Mercedes have plates on front, but no Hawaii plate
