Angry problems w/ 03 porterfields

Has anyone with an 03 wrx bought a set of porterfields from speed gear, well i did and they don't fit at all. the stock pad have a male end on top of them where the wear indicater is and the porterfield have a female ends and they just don't match up. oh and the porterfields are also a little bigger. If anyone else has had this problem please let me know why would he sell the wrong pads marked w/ 03 wrx on them?

From the brake forum:
Just a follow up with more information :
Dealer confirmed that VIN number is needed to determine wrx front pad part number, of course I wanted something other than the oem pads but for informational purposes :
02 and some 03 wrx front pad : 26296AE081
most 03 wrx front pads : 26296SA020
So, if anyone can find a good street/track pad in this new size please let me know. The tabs that fit into the calipers are smaller on the new pad. Maybe suby wanted to make some cash on pads until the aftermarket catches up ?
Thanks, Nate
Maybe your '03 was made before the caliper change. Try borrowing a '02 set of pads from someone and see if they fit.

I have the Carbotech race pads. I like them, they just need to be kinda hot to work right. If I were you I wouldn't use the Porterfields on the street, they might not want to let you stop...
