My

old age has made me kinder to these kind of posts. That's why I didn't respond to it. "Butt-dynos" are very inaccurate. Period. I was at an open track event where my stock-turbo WRX was actually faster than a few STIs. I've never driven an STI, and got a ride in the back seat of one with four other passengers. The way the STI "pinned" me back in the seat impressed me. I thought "how was I competitive with this"? The "butt-dyno" sucks. While the STI is very powerfull in its powerband, its always shifting. My car doesn't "pin" me back in the seats as much, but its strong and doesn't need constant shifting. Impressions don't mean a lot. Measurements do. Measure the "performance" of your aftermarket bov vs. the stock one. Most people brag about how much better their cars perform after they install "x" product or "z" product. I think it's because they want to justify spending dollars for performance. With no AWD dyno on the island, there is a lot of "butt-dyno" justification that doesn't hold water. Driving different cars back-to-back still comes down to impressions. I'd rather have numbers, whether drag, track, whatever. My usual short post.

The Blow off valve does not add Horsepower! It may cause your car to run richer between shifts if its an atmospheric type...you should do a test at the 1/4 mile track and see if it changes your trap speed. That determines how much power youre producing! E.T. tells you how well your driving your car, launching/shifting wise.
