The police are out today!

Be careful, and don't speed! I saw at least 6 bike police sitting in different areas along the H-1 and H-3 today. I have never seen so many out at once. There is one right in the middle of the H-3 just sould of the tunnels in the Kaneohe bound lanes. I have never seen a cop there before today. My K-40 never went off, so I think it may be broken because I personally watched 3 cops aim and tag my car. NO TICKETS though!! Luckily today I was in no hurry. Just watch out.

are they budgeted x amount of dollars for overtime or do they have excess cash? cuz if they have excess cash, maybe they should hire more officers or raise their salaries ???

every year all the government agencies are budgeted a certain amount of $$. to ensure that each department gets the money on a consistent basis(whether they need it or not) they "prove" to our legislature that they need it. HPD does it by using up as much of it as possible before the fiscal year(i think thats what they call it) ends. basically if they don't use the money they might not get the $$ the next year(when they might need it). *ironically our HPD academy is rated in the top 5 nationwide in terms of training but their pay is one of the lowest.

in relation to thread- i was on H3 this morning and saw 3 solo bikes... in the RAIN!! there goes my theory of them not tagging in the rain.

There is no siren, no blue light... that's why you can barely tell... only thing you can ask is why the f#$k is there a horse in the middle of the road. Yeah... they carry ropes and use them to catch the crack dealers and ****** too. J/K
