n e body got a reader for a 02-03 wrx? one that will read and fix or just read? CEL came on for some reason and dont kno why!! lemme kno if yall can help!! 620 5153 ask for richard!!

happened to me too... checked everything no leaks... ended up putting in a safc after much debate... car runs fine now....

i read about the new gas and stuff but really.......... could it the gas????

 

thunder- nah. didnt install nething new in the car. i was jus driving home and all of a sudden the car bogs a lil then cel turns on.

UneducatedmeWrx- i dont think it could have been the gas. gas could really do dat could it?

 

check with the dealer, but get cel reader...just to have an idea, of what caused the cel....

 

Kragen and AUtoZone both rent out code reads I believe (I know Autozone does). You pay the price of the unit and then go into the parking lot, pull the code, go inside and return the reader.

 

it could be many things, is the CEL flashing or just on?

 

Swing by the shop and we can pull your code.

 

Did you use chevron gas with techron? If you did, then you probably filled your fuel pump with techronites =X. Teflon, a material substance, can clog your pump and make your car bog and may even cause it not not to start.

thanks for the heads up on the chevron gas!! wat bout 76 or shell? yo ryan imma drop by sumtyme this week to get it checked out. the CEL turned off but i jus wanna make shure dat i dun fawk shyt up more!! thanks for all of your advice guys!!

wow...easy there 808....***** is just sayin (and i must agree) that chevron has in our PERSONAL EXPERIENCE to be bad for our cars. there will never be actual tests and results for this, so whatever. i use Shell and that is it. chevron is for the dogs and hondas.
btw: there is no spell check for quick reply, which is how **** posts. who cares anyway? u a perfectionist? quit complainin, you tellin me u NEVER mispell ****? *** it....

 

tom there's no hard feelings here it's chris he can rag on my spelling i don't care. but as of testing i have done my own and my results were not the best for chevron. and you can also ask dale and other guys on here who use to swear by chevron. now they will tell you there car get's better mileage and better results.

also my car had a harder time starting up with chevron then any of the others i tested it with. but for a 100miles different in a tank of gas thats alot and not happy on my wallet.
