Pics from my Turbo install over the weekend.

Much thanks to Thomas of TAIVW and the other guy(forgot his name) that worked on my car over the holiday weekend. Looks like everything is running smooth and I can't wait to get the rest of the stuff in and dial the car in. For those not in the know the K04 swap was done to my car. anyway here are some pics.

pics of the k04's before install.

the driver side turbo installed with thermal wrap on the intake tubes to sheild them from the exhaust manifolds.

Congrats!

I don't feel so bad about having to jack up the engine on a WRX to install an uppipe anymore.

Holy smokes! There's no room at all, is there?

I'm anxious for you to break it in.

thanks guys. It's going to be nice to be able to race again. Thomas and Gene from www.tai-vw.com did a good job and got it done in about 15 hours also. I'm gald I paid someone to do this as I would have easily FUBAR'ed this job.

The car is up and running right now. I've been babying it around town to blow out the rest of the excess oil in the intake tract. I though the oil was leaking into the the exhaust side of the turbo, but it was going into the compressor side so there's still some oil in there. I need to pick up a new MAF tomorrow and then I should be at the track tomorrow night to test the car out on stock boost(8-9psi). Should be in the high 13's(I hope!). Next week I should get my fueling kit, MBC and throttle cut defender. I'll be able to run 17psi then and see what these babies can really do. Wish me luck
